Casino progress

I never get tired of the view from the Scenic Overlook-- the quiet bay, the Dynasty Casino rising up out of the jungle, the village of San Jose nestled between two hills... sea, clouds and sky... wow!

Coming down from the overlook, you can see the progress being made at the new casino site.

There is a new entry and gate

And the first major building is being completed. We were told that this building will be used to store material. The casino itself will be built somewhere between this building and the temporary housing that had already been built for the workers.

They are also beginning to dig another hole at the site... another building?

On my walk this morning, I found this new plant. I'm not sure if it will eventually flower or not.

This house had been well prepared for the holidays. They had decorated their home, and had lots of tables outside for guests...

And also had a beautiful Christmas altar for the Christ child.

There is a new restaurant on Tinian, next to the Broadway Estates subdivision. We have not been here yet, but plan to go and see what it is like.

I'm not sure if these are betel nut or not-- most of the betel nut I see for sale is green...

There is additional work being done at the Amphitheater-- a new hole is being dug behind where the bleachers will be-- don't know why yet

They continue work on the seating area in front of the stage

And they are installing stainless steel railings along the ramps
