Did Jim Bell make the crossing?

Jim Bell the swimmer started for Tinian from Saipan yesterday morning at 9am. As of 10pm last night, no one had seen him yet. The Tinian police/safety dept. was out looking for him, and the coast guard had been notified also. I guess time will tell. The last time he swam this route, it took him 14 hrs. But then, it was over 40 years ago! He was supposed to call me when he arrived on Tinian...so far, no calls...
