Chameleons are among us!

Terri has put up with a lot since moving to Tinian. Invading ants, spiders, cold showers, and of course our household pets, the geckos. But she finally met her match when the chameleon joined us.

The geckos had always respected our space, staying, for the most part, on the upper walls near the ceiling. But one day we saw what seemed to look like a gecko in some of Terri's clothes. I warned her about it, and we reshuffled things a little, which seemed to fix the problem. However, it seemed strange, because we had not seen the geckos down so low. Then one morning Terri felt something run across her feet as she got out of bed...another bad sign. Finally, one day Terri yelled at me to come help her. She was sitting on the bed with her feet tucked under her. At the foot of the bed was a chameleon sitting on the floor, like a dog that had just treed an animal. It was quite a funny sight!

I got something to catch the chameleon with--it was much easier than I thought it would be, and took it outside. Hopefully it will not return.
