The volcanoe just north of Saipan has become active again and the ash and smoke has been drifting south...so living on Tinian has been a little like living in LA! The air smells a little smokey and there is a haze that has settled on the island. The government has issued a warning for people to stay indoors and to refrain from exercising, etc., especially if you have asthma or other ailments.
Everyone is preparing for the Hot Pepper festival this weekend. Terri is not on call this weekend, so it should be a fun time.
