Tinian construction update

I continue to enjoy walking Marpo Heights and checking on the new homes being built there. The construction process, though similar, is different in each case. One home had been built with a metal roof. However, when it was finished, they had extended the concrete above the roof line so that you cannot tell the roof is metal. They have installed some kind of built-in gutter system to drain the water from the roof. Considering the rainfall Tinian gets, I have my doubts about this specific design.

The concrete home being built is continuing to prepare for the concrete roof to be poured by extending the roof line out about 3' to provide an overhang. They have lots of details, such as curved entries, that all have to be made out of poured concrete! This has to be difficult...one mistake, and how does one fix the problem?

As new homes are being built, there are still a few homes that have need of repair or have been abondoned by the owners.

I am also always surprised at how different people enhance their homes with flowers.

The road construction project down Broadway has moved on to the next section.
