A trip around the island

This weekend, while Terri was on call and had a vehicle, we decided to take a drive around the island. The military was starting maneuvers on the northern end of the island, and the old Runway Able was closed. The weather was rough, so the blow hole located on the NE corner of the island was really active, as the waves were big and crashing against the rocks.
We also discovered another small beach--the same beach a local man was hurt badly while spear fishing (he was caught by a rogue wave and smashed against the rocks next to the small beach). There was a family having a picnic there that we were able to meet and get to know. They come to this beach every Friday. They spend time cleaning up the area, and even bring a bush cutter to keep the grass down!
