The clinic prepares for Christmas

Like much of the island, the Hospital is getting a 'spring cleaning', which happens at the end of the rainy season, and just before the holidays and the start of the tourist season in January. This year, the cleaning includes a new paint job on the outside. The men doing the work are doing a wonderful job.
Unlike the PC problems the mainland seems to have, on Tinian everyone looks forward to the holidays, even the Hospital. That is one of the things that endears us to the island and people of Tinian--they continue to create a small-town feel, where everyone says hello and they are not ashamed or afraid to share with others who they are and what they believe. They are open and friendly and try to make visitors feel at home. There are always people who can and will find fault with the way they do things, but we have found that most of the time the problem is with the one finding fault. So, instead of trying to find problems, just let yourself go and enjoy the ride!
