It's spring on Tinian?

It's spring on Tinian? How does one tell what season it is, when very little changes? The weather is the same here year-round (exept perhaps for the rain). Perhaps I have just not gotten used to the subtleties of the island yet.
One way to tell it is spring may be the blooming of the flame trees. In the spring, especially in May, the flame trees begin to bloom, with large red blossoms coming out. It is a beautiful time of year. They have a yearly 'flame tree' festival (we missed it last year when we visited the island, and I will miss it this year, as I will be traveling to Utah).
