Saipan Diabetes conference

Our view from our balcony of the Fiesta Resort Hotel. Each night there was a fireworks display on the beach, that was eye-level with our hotel room.

Last week Terri attended a Diabetes conference on Saipan. A great many people in the CNMI have problems with diabetes, so there is a great need for information concerning the subject. Terri spends a lot of her time in the clinic dealing with diabetes patients, so it was natural for her to come to this conference to try to get more, and updated, information on the subject.

We stayed at the Fiesta Resort hotel for three nights. We didn't spend a lot of time socializing, as we both have been contending with colds.

The Fiesta hotel was very nice, and had a lot of amenities. It had limited options for food, however, so we only ate at the hotel one night. Garapan is right across the street, and seemed busy during the weekend, but rather quiet during the weekdays.
