More construction news

This house has sat idle since we first moved to Tinian. It looks as though work has started again

They have started to fix the dirt roads up on Marpo Heights that were damaged during the frequent rains

A lot of concrete work has been completed on this house and garage up on Marpo Heights

And, every day, they continue to work on the main road through the village

Enjoyed your photos of Tinian Island. My father was in the US Air Force and spent some time there during WWII.

Thanks for all your efforts on this site, Kevan. I have enjoyed the pictures and experiences and teaching points immensely. Takes me back to Altoona and our experiences there.

By the way, do you remember the day we tracted into a bunch of mushrooms growing out of a large stump? After borrowing a plastic sack from a lady, we had mushrooms galore in everything we ate for the next week or two. I've read since that it is nigh impossible to tell whether a mushroom is user friendly or poisonous. You must know your stuff or the Lord was taking care of us.

By the way, I'm enjoying the book about your grandmother. I really enjoyed reading about Elder Faust. My mom lived across the hall from him while serving a mission at the Church office bldg. a couple of years ago. I had the opportunity of speaking with him. I wish I had read your book before then. We would have had a lot more to talk about.

Till we meet again,

Ben Casper
