Work and politics and more rain

It is rainy season on Tinian again, and I find it difficult to walk...I have to try to get time in-between the rain showers. It is always amazing how hard it can rain here! Sometimes it is almost deafening as the rain pounds on the roofs and sides of buildings.

They are almost done with this section of parkway along Broadway. They will be moving back to the road in front of the Mayor's office, as part of the roadwork being completed through the village.

They are proud of the work they do... and they should be! They have done a great job laying all that brick, and especially all the cutting they have to do!

There are two roads that run through the middle of the village, one north and one south, that run almost parallel to each other. They are starting on the north road. This is looking east...

And this is looking west. Right now they are just doing some grading, and installing run-off barriers along the road.

Here are just some of the political signs being placed around the island...
