HIdden farms

I am always amazed at the number of 'hidden' roads that suddenly appear in the jungle. Most wind their way back into the brush and turn out to be cattle ranches or hidden farms.

The roads are almost always lined by razor grass that is more than 6' high

Occasionally they have taken the time to build fences, although it is usually done only with the ranches to keep the cattle from roaming.

Many areas have gates--but no fences--as they use the tall razor grass for fencing, and to keep people (like me, I guess) from wandering around

I discovered an old auto yard. Up till now it had just been jungle. For some reason, someone has decided to cut the grass around these vehicles (the 'mounds' in the back are old cars, covered with jungle brush)

During the long weekend Terri and I did some swimming and took a ride around the island. We are always curious about the progress of the new casino, and usually disappointed.

This is the 'hole' they have started, for a foundation, I suppose. It is not very large and not very deep-- not much to see!

The tent makes the casino look more like an army campground than a construction project!

This was a new home, or business, that was being built by salvaging steel containers, cutting them up, and then re-welding them into walls
