The duck is dead

I'm so sorry to tell you, but the duck is dead... and we ate it! We were invited to dinner at a friend's home the other evening, and she suggested duck as the main course. I vaguely remembered having duck at some Chinese restaurant years ago, and Terri wasn't sure she had ever had duck before, so it sounded like a new adventure in eating!

And it was! It turned out to be delicious. Served with rice (of course) and some vegetables, it was a wonderful meal.

I was emailed this great picture of the ferry making its way along the west coast of Tinian. As you can tell, the whole north end of Tinian is completely undeveloped, with just a few roads criss-crossing the island.
