Tinian can be a difficult place to get to... there are no direct flights that come to Tinian (yet); everyone must first go to Saipan, and then travel by ferry or small plane to get here.

Amen to that. Sometimes the more difficult the journey, the greater the rewards. Or did I cheat you out of your next post? If so, sorry. Your pictures and understanding of the island keep me in tune with the place I would love to be.
It is a catch-22 situation for Tinian... on the one hand, they could use more tourists, on the other hand, too many tourists would change the unique nature of the island... but such is life!
