Rain rain go away, come again another day!

The rainy season brings a LOT of water to the island. Here is a BEFORE and AFTER picture to show you what we face on a daily basis. This morning we had a brief shower....

This is what the street in front of our apartment looks like on a normal day.

The water can get 6" deep through here, fortunately, the water tends to 'disappear' quickly

The road work continues: they began to dig a trench--by hand--at one end of the road

The garage up on Marpo continues to take shape. It is a two-car garage, with a bathroom and sink...that may seem strange to people on the mainland, but here on the island most people don't use their carports for their cars! They put picnic tables under the roofs, and use these areas to eat, and to sit with their families--it is much cooler outside, after all!
